Wear and complement of Ball in Ball Mill

In order to keep the reasonable grading of steel ball in grinding, the factors affecting ball wear should be eliminated and weakened.
 
When the hardness of grinding material is close to that of steel ball, the wear of ball is the most. Therefore, steel plants are usually required to adopt effective slag quenching method to reduce slag hardness. In grinding slag cement, slag should be mixed in the removal of iron slag clean.
 
Ball wear increases significantly when the mill operates without feeding or with little stock. When there is more material in the mill, the wear of the steel ball is smaller, but when the material is too much, the wear of the ball will be reduced, but the grinding efficiency will be reduced. When the grain size of the grinding material increases, the wear of the steel ball in the coarse grinding bin is larger than that in the fine grinding bin, and the fine powder is adsorbed on the surface of the steel ball in the fine grinding bin. The higher the rotating speed of the mill, the greater the wear of the steel ball, and the more the filling ratio of the steel ball in the mill increases, the more the wear of the steel ball increases. The material and composition of steel ball have a significant effect on ball wear.
 
In order to compensate for the wear of the ball, the mill operation for a period of time, to regularly add the ball. The determination of the longest period of regular ball addition shall be based on the wear of the ball not exceeding 5% of the total load of the ball.
